Since the launch in 1997 pos architects of Vienna is ahead in innovative architecture and building research. The holistic approach and the test in pilot projects make a promising alternative in developing sustainable qualities in architecture. The first passive house in extreme alpine climate and a minimum energy office building give a proof of research and planning performance. Since 2004 the expertise of pos architects is inquired in international consulting projects for ecological and energy efficient building design.

project description

The Observation Tower for the visitors of the Biogradska Gora National Park is part of an international development cooperation for sustainable tourism. It is the first high-rising pure timber-structure in Montenegro and so far a highlight for advanced sustainable design and engineering.

Besides creating a landmark for the park it was a major task to empower the local skills of carpentry and to transfer most up-to-date know-how in designing and constructing timber structures.
